The solution is the fastest and most powerful method for simulating millions of mechanical patterns, evolutive patterns, complex polarization effects, and superimposing arrays.
In conventional solutions, feature repetition and number of patterns are limited by memory consumption and simulation time. OPTIS’ 3D textures generator simulates tens of millions of patterns while consuming little memory (150Mb for 1 million parameters), loading quickly (2 seconds for 1 million parameters), and simulating rapidly (16 minutes for 10 million rays and 4 million patterns). This performance is accomplished with state-of-the-art technologies, including optimized multi-threaded calculations and 64-bit graphics cards.
The 3D textures generator precisely handles any combination of CAD shapes, surfaces, materials, and orientations. Materials can be combined in different ways with simple boolean operations. The generator enables the designer to repeat features, simulate and optimize backlight units, and generate automatic textures for LCDs, making it a powerful tool for new applications, such as curved and oversized displays, DLP projectors, lightguide tail lamps, complicated architectures, and unique interior lighting.

OPTIS has adopted the International Color Consortium (ICC) standards, and applied them to its range of SPEOS Technology-based software.
